Success Story

Sarah—a single mother living with her seven children and one grandchild—was unemployed because of chronic health problems. She had tried to enroll in drug company medication programs, but couldn’t complete the applications because of a language barrier.

Through NOVA ScriptsCentral, Sarah is able to get three of the four medications she needs to stay healthy. After she signed up, her medications arrived within three days. Directions for taking the prescriptions were written in clear, simple English so she could understand them and take the drugs without complications.

Because she is taking the medication she needs, Sarah is healthy again. She is back at work as a hairdresser and is able to work all of her hours. She can also afford day care for her children thanks to the money she saves by receiving her prescriptions from NOVA ScriptsCentral.

NOVA Scripts Central is unlike any pharmacy you’ve ever known.

It’s a nonprofit, mail-order pharmacy that provides life-saving medications only to uninsured, low-income children and adults.

We serve patients throughout Northern Virginia, in collaboration with our clinic partners - the Jeanie Schmidt Free Clinic in Herndon, Potomac Hospital’s mobile vans serving Woodbridge, the Loudoun Free Clinic, the Loudoun Community Health Center, and the Greater Prince William Health Center. Additional partnerships are planned with clinics and private practice physicians in the whole Northern Virginia region.
